“ First off, Tramonti Ristorante is hands down the best dining experience in all of CT. I literally don't want to go to a different restaurant anymore because you can never duplicate or replicate the feeling you have when you dine at Tramonti. You feel like family here. The courses are amazing and the staff is unbelievable. You will have a different experience every time you go. The best place to sit is on the kitchen side where the Ambiance is electric. You can see the food being prepared fresh and there is not a single microwave on the premises which many restaurants use as a default. The food is amazing and delicious and the portions are more than generous! (Trust me!) The drinks are out of this world and the complimentary offerings from the chef are always a cherry on top. Speaking of the chef, Antonio is one of a kind and a talent to behold. He has an outsize personality to match his craftsmanship of food. Don't miss the chancer to visit this gem of a restaurant tucked away in Thomaston - you won't regret it! ”
“ This restaurant is really hard to get a reservation. I see why. The food is delicious. The portions are enormous. I have only one complaint. I ordered a meal the other night and did not ask the price. Only to find out the one meal was $300. My bill for the night was $500 with no drinks and appetizer and a dessert. This is excessive. Again if I had asked the price for the meal before, I would've chosen one of the normal meals that they have which are very very good. I really enjoyed their pasta with pesto. The veal was delicious. They sent out two complementary appetizers as well. We especially liked the mussels. bottom line is, we will go to this restaurant again, but I will be more careful in the future. ”
“ This is truly an extraordinary experience. Other reviews have stated that the portions are enormous and the food is delicious, and we would enthusiastically agree. I ordered the Zuppa de Pesce, which is seafood (clams, mussels, scallops, and calamari) served over risotto. The calamari was perfect; it was a little al dente and not chewy like I have gotten at so many other restaurants. The risotto was tasty, albeit I had to limit how much I ate to finish the seafood. My wife ordered the chicken parm, which was also excellent, and our friend ordered scallops over linguini, although she did comment that she would have preferred them prepared as mine were rather than grilled. After ordering, they brought out antipasti and mussels, and we finished the meal with limoncello and a giant cannoli. We also had a chance to meet the owner, who is from Parma. He was warm and embracing and enjoyed telling us about how he incorporated the traditions of where he grew up into his restaurant. Hannah, our server was great! She was friendly and attentive and answered all of my questions. Overall, this experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend this restaurant. ”
“ I have heard so much about this place. Mostly the size servings they give. They didn't disappoint in that. They were huge, the picture doesn't do the bowl size justice. We got complimentary appetizer and the owner (I think) even was walking around saying hello to tables. It was good! Such a crisp fresh salad. Vodka pasta was also very good perfect mixture of sauce and flavor. Some places overdue on plum sauce or chunks but this one was nice and smooth. Crunchy breaded chicken. It is tiny, which is probably why they need reservations. When it's evening they give you little lights at the table. There were some outdoor seating also. Waitress was nice as well. ”
“ I had heard so many great things about Tramonti's. I had tried in the past to get a reservation and they were always booked solid. Anywho, months later, I heard that they moved into a bigger location and boom, we made it finally. Ok, I'm not going to lie, I was overwhelmed by every detail of this experience. Upon entering this tastefully decorated establishment, we were immediately greeted by several staff. That's always a home run in my book. My family and I were seated promptly and greeted by our server, I believe her name was Alyssa, maybe.... Not sure, but she was great! On to the food. To say that Tramonti's serves large portions would be an understatement. For an appetizer we ordered the calamari with Gorgonzola and cherry peppers. The calamari was FRESH! As we were enjoying our calamari, Chef Antonio sent out a plate of bruschetta and a couple oysters on the half shell. Thus far, we're being treated like a royalty. On to the entrees. I ordered the cioppino and I just had no idea how much I was going to get. I'm pretty sure the waitstaff has to lift weights because they brought out a very large skillet full of seafood and risotto. This pan was big, hot, and heavy, like two hand lift heavy!! My one dish could've and would've been enough for 4 people, respectively. My family had equally as large dishes as you can see from the photos I posted. To be honest; I was in shock when the appetizer came out that I forgot to take more photos! Tramonti's has a great wine selection and full bar. Tramonti's has given us the WOW factor along with my highly coveted MMMMMSK™! Thanks for a great first experience! ”
“ First time for this restaurant and just try to stop me from coming back here! Portions are the best value for the money but more importantly is that everything we ate was an absolute blast of flavor! Service is Impeccable and the weather cooperated so we could enjoy the outdoor patio! ”
“ Such an amazing spot. My family has been raving about Tramonti and I finally tried it for myself last month. Service, food, portions were all amazing. They start you off with some HUGE free apps- mussels and bruschetta, which were delicious. We had some family style apps too- calamari and Burrata. So delicious and portions were so large we could have stopped there. For the main course I got the salmon (I know not the most Italian thing) but WOW- perfectly cooked and the potatoes it came with were delicious (and I'm not a huge mashed potato fan). I also got to try some of the penne vodka which was some of the best I've had. The chef came out to say hello after the meal which was a nice touch. Highly recommend coming here, and coming hungry when you do! ”
